Baconize your grilled cheese sandwich to turn bland into something to squeal about!

Ingredients: gruyere cheese, green apple, thinly sliced, Orville’s Apple pie bacon, loaf of Italian bread, butter
Instructions: Cook the Orville’s Apple Pie bacon. Be sure to prepare more than you need for the sandwiches because this bacon should be savored solo. It’s that good!
After your moment with the bacon, slice or shave off slices of the gruyere cheese to cover the size of a slice of the Italian bread. Use more or less cheese to suit your taste.
Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place buttered side of bread into a pre-heated frypan. Place cheese slice on bread, then sliced apples. Put bacon atop the apple slices and complete the tower of “goodness” with another slice of the gruyere cheese. Place the second slice of buttered bread atop the tower of yum you’ve made with the buttered side facing up. You can place a weighted press on top of the sandwich while grilling to promote quick and even toasting of the bread. When the first side is adequately toasted carefully turn the sandwich over in the pan to grill the other side. Cover the pan briefly to ensure the cheese gets warm enough to begin to melt.
Serve with your favorite chips and a pickle wedge.
