Candied Pecan and Bacon Bark

Bacon Bark is one of our favorite things. It’s easy to make and easy to have on-hand whenever a nutty, bacony, chocolatey craving strikes (which is pretty often around here). Make it for National Pecan Day: March 25th.

This recipe comes from It’s suitable for those following a gluten-free, low-carb diet. Bacon is an ideal food for gluten-free diets as most bacons are gluten-free. Some bacons with rubs or seasonings might have gluten; always check the label. This recipe combines toasted pecans, bacon and chocolate to create a bacon bark that will hit all the sweet, salty, savory notes you’re looking for in a dessert. 1/2 cup Swerve sweetener
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. butter
1 ½ cups chopped, toasted pecans
1/2 lb. bacon, chopped and cooked until crisp
1/4 tsp kosher salt
4 oz. food grade cocoa butter
2.5 oz. good quality unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup powdered Swerve sweetener, sifted
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
