
Day 3 of “The 12 Days of a Bacon-Wrapped Christmas“ brings us bacon-wrapped white asparagus.
Imagine the delight in your child’s eyes when they gaze upon nature’s own version of the candy cane. That’s right, your kids will eat their veggies when you wrap some sweet, sweet bacon around stalks of white asparagus.

First off, make like bacon-loving betty Rachael Ray and add some EVOO (that’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil for the uninitiated) to a shallow baking dish.

Clean as many stalks of white asparagus as you can eat and cut them to fit your pan.

Wrap each stalk with a whole strip of bacon and get ready for action.
Bake the treats at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes. What you’ll end up with is a meal in itself with a Smaste™ rating of 37.43. Not a bad meal for the 3rd day of Christmas.
