Bacon, meet Chocolate ….
If two wrongs don’t make a right then we can assume that two rights won’t make it wrong.
The two “rights” in this case are bacon and chocolate, both decadently delightful.
We took some some superior bacon to our neighborhood artisan bakery “disgustingly delicious” and had them chocolate coat it. After cooking the bacon Chef prepared the chocolate. A small amount of butter and bacon fat were added to the melted chocolate before dipping the cooked bacon into it. Truth be told the first batch of chocolate was ditched as instead of smooth and creamy the melted chocolate appeared grainy. The chef attributed this to heating the chocolate too quickly. The second batch of chocolate was the correct consistency for dipping our delectable bacon. After being dipped in chocolate, the bacon was placed on a wire rack to cool and harden. Once the chocolate set, into the freezer it went to maintain freshness.
The result of our adventure is a crispy, creamy, sweet and salty stick of delicious!
