Bacon-Wrapped Honey Mustard Pretzel Rods
Crispy crunchy salty sweet bacony pretzel rods! Oh boy! These are sooo easy to make and sooo delicious! All you need is 3 ingredients to reach sweet and savory heaven. We used Jack Daniels honey Dijon mustard in this pretzel rod recipe. Because whiskey makes everything better, even mustard. If you don’t have this particular mustard, you can just mix some Dijon and honey together and use that. Or if you don’t like mustard, you could make these with candied bacon made with brown sugar and it will be just as good. It’s the perfect recipe to celebrate National Pretzel Day on April 26th.
1 pack of bacon
Pretzel rods (about 12)
¾ cup Jack Daniels Honey Dijon Mustard
Heat oven to 350° F. Coat the bacon strips with the honey Dijon mustard. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick coating. Place the bacon strips on the sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until cooked, but not crispy and still pliable. Remove from oven and allow to cool until bacon can be handled.
Wrap the pretzel rods with one bacon strip and place down on a clean baking sheet. Make sure the tail end of the bacon is tucked under the pretzel rod. Bake for 4-6 more minutes until the bacon is crispy. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
