File this one under “Little Bits of Abandoned Internet History”.
The Bacon Bear Blog is comprised of 10 posts that live quietly on a single blog page. It’s the “fun name for a simple technology blog… [of a]… full fledged production company for a number of small web sites as well as… [a] web oriented consulting business.” The first post was on November 29th, 2006 and the tenth and final post was on September 19th, 2007. Topics of discussion included OSX, Rails, SQLite3, Cocoa, and several other things that I’m sure make a lot of sense to web developers, but that I have never heard of.
The blog (and company) was also named after bacon.
A cursory search of the ‘ol Goog tells me that Bacon Bear Productions may now be involved in creating iPhone apps, including one that help you learn how to count cards. And if you can count cards, you can win in Vegas. And we all know what that means…
Buy more bacon!
So thank you, Bacon Bear Productions, wherever you are.
