First thing first – I stole the title of this article from Kerry McCray over at the Modesto Bee. I may only have a sliver of journalistic integrity, but that sliver includes not plagarizing the fine work of others. In this case, however, I thought that Kerry’s title was so awesome that it warranted an homage.
It’s quite true – anything that starts with bacon is good.
I wanted to share her article with you not because it has a great recipe for bacon chili (I actually couldn’t find the recipe anywhere in her article – if you find it, please let me know) but rather because she tells such a heartfelt and personal story about her experience with making the bacon chili. It’s the Holiday season, and whether you make your bacon-filled dishes for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or Festivus, you should make it with pure joy and love of bacon.
