Pre-bacon is our alternative to saying “pig”, “swine”, “hog”, etc. We all know that the animal is destined for the bacon factory anyhow, so we might as well just call it pre-bacon. The only alternative that we’ve heard lately that is even remotely acceptable is “bacon in training”, which was the title of this great photo from roving reporter Mike (photo taken at the Orange County Fair).
