Just in time for the winter season comes a recipe that is sure to bring bacon lovers some warm holiday cheer. Turbaconducken. That’s right — a chicken stuffed in duck stuffed in a turkey, all wrapped in bacon. Otherwise known as a bacon-wrapped turducken. Just how did we create this meaty madness? Read on.
It all started with a dream…and a whole bunch of bacon. Five pounds of bacon to be exact. For some variety we used three types of bacon, including Rocco’s Country Peppered Bacon for the decorative topping.
We used a 15 pound turkey, a small duck, and a pre-cut whole chicken. We consulted the internet for a turducken recipe and hoped for the best.
We started by wrapping the chicken pieces in bacon.
Then we split the duck into two halves…
…and wrapped the duck halves in bacon.
At this point the chicken and duck started looking pretty big, so we test fit the pieces into the turkey. There wasn’t any room to spare but we managed to get all the pieces in there.
Then we wrapped the turkey in bacon and the feast was ready for the oven.
We cooked the birds in a roaster oven on low heat. Cooking took all day but the results were worth the wait.
The cooked concoction looked mouth-wateringly good after pulling it out of the oven.
Some of the bacon shifted during cooking, but overall the bacon held together quite well after an entire day in the oven.
The final product was moist and absolutely delicious. We used no seasoning whatsoever. The bacon gave the poultry just the right hint of salty goodness. The perfect holiday meal for bacon lovers everywhere!

“no spices”. Yes, but imagine each piece of meat rubbed with chipotle powder, and then the whole thing smoked!

How out of the ordinary and fantastic way to cook a bird – excuse me I meant 3 birds – how many servings did you get? There must be a lot of bones leftover, save them to cook a nice bouillion for soup or sauce.

Why don’t we get turkey, chicken, duck, goose, bear, squirrel, deer and wrap it all in bacon? Wouldn’t that be the ultimate meat?
My only question to this amazing post is, “Define low heat.”
*drool*
This is not a turducken… a turducken is boneless and can be sliced like a roast.

No seasoning??, curious what the black pepper looking stuff is? It is mostly on the breasts,..but a little the legs. Lord knows I would have added something!! Just wondering what it is.
Is it just me…. or does anyone else feel the need to keep a crowbar handy?

What about some bearclaw, animal juice, and a cup of elephant sweat.
looks good but i think their is too much other meat and not enough bacon.
The only thing I would do differently would be to reverse it some how. I would start with a massive “ball” consisting entirely of bacon. Then I would pound out the poultry ultra-thin and wrap it around the bacon-ball.
Only then can you maximize the flavor-factor….Oh, and then I would wrap the whole thing in bacon, …yeah that’d do it.
@PescaJimbo <- obvious plant.
Awesome site, and great recipe… though I do have to imagine how good it would be if it was prepared like a traditional turducken.

wow this looks amazing! very crazy, but amazing. I so would love to try this XD
This looks like something lady ga ga would wear
LOL! ! !
I bet it would be amazing if the turkey was box cured like really good Bacon. The duck cured in a pastrami style, and the chicken just left plain. Then the whole meat monster deboned, and done as a proper Turducken, accept with the various cured meats wrapped in Bacon. Perhaps a salt pork larding for the first few hours of baking. Maybe a Bacon and sausage cornbread stuffing between the layers.

Hiya, I was reading additional thing about this on just one more web site. Helpful. Your perspective on it really is diametrically contradicted from what I study earlier. I’m nevertheless pondering in the opposite items of view, but I’m leaning to a really exceptional extent toward yours. And irrespective, that is what’s so perfect about modern day democracy and also the marketplace of ideas online.

I have created something new and beautiful. I couldn’t find it anywhere on line, so I assume I am the first to go public with it.
The TURHAMON – a beautiful fresh bonless ham wraped in bacon, stuffed in a deboned turkey, that is wraped in bacon. I recomend serving it with bacon mashed potatoes and bacon fat fried brussel sprouts, but thats just me. Hope anyone who makes this enjoys it.
Happy Baconing

Personally,I think its disgusting. Too much fat. No wonder we live in a society of overweight people.
I’ve always wrapped my turkey in bacon, but
put pepper on the turkey before wrapping and baked at 325 degrees. Very good.
