There’s really not much I can add to this post on Craigslist. Thanks to my buddy Hobie for forwarding this along.
If you need some food for your pre-bacon, this could help you out. Just don’t ask the dude for a picture of the pig food – ha!
Here’s a transcript of the posting:
50lbs of Vietnamese Pig Food (Garden Grove, CA)
I have 50lbs of just opened feeds for Vietnamese Pigs. The former owner fed them a dog’s diet and now the piggies won’t eat the pigs’ food. So what am I to do? The pig’s diet consist mainly of vegetables and fruits. This 50lbs feed came out of Midway Feed Store, bought it just a few days ago. Please don’t make me take a pic of it. It’s free, not the pig.
Bacon Today readers may already know about our “bikes & bacon” series. I’ve got a motorcycle and do a lot of traveling so what better way to tie in two of my loves?

Matt Stone & Trey Parker, the controversial creators of South Park, created live-action introductions to the episodes of their “Complete Season 2″ boxed set. This particular vignette is titled “Bakin’ Bacon with Macon”.
In this video, the South Park boys talk briefly about the finer points of America’s favorite meat. They then feed some bacon to Macon. Keep in mind Macon is a pig.
Feel free to discuss that potential moral dilemma amongst yourselves…
Mud Fearing Pig Gets Boots: This six week old pig suffers from mysophobia, a fear of dirt, and refuses to splash around in the mud with her siblings. That was until the farmers who own the pig gave her two pairs of keychain sized boots to walk around in.
Pre-bacon is our alternative to saying “pig”, “swine”, “hog”, etc. We all know that the animal is destined for the bacon factory anyhow, so we might as well just call it pre-bacon. The only alternative that we’ve heard lately that is even remotely acceptable is “bacon in training”, which was the title of this great photo from roving reporter Mike (photo taken at the Orange County Fair).
