Quite some time ago, Lloyd and Lauren introduced us to Mat. No, not a guy who’s name is short for Matthew. This Mat is crisp, delicious and 100% bacon. He’s woven of the finest meat known to man and is as versitile as he is tasty.
Now, we’ve woven our own bacon mats since Lloyd and Lauren first introduced us to them. We’ve made tacos, polenta, and even a cheese log with the glorious weave of bacon, but they’ve even gone so far as to collect a gallery of bacon mats to share with the world.

As an added bonus you can scroll to the bottom of their bacon mat article and learn how to freeze bacon. Thank you Lloyd and Lauren for this fine service you’ve done for the bacon loving community.

I was in the process of writing a post about bacon tattoos when I came across the great collection of bacon tattoo photos from the Skulls & Bacon blog. Can top his list even with an hour’s worth of research…so I defer to the predecessor and say view the bacon tattoo photos from Skulls & Bacon.
Making breakfast this morning we noticed a funny thing, bacon & eggs made themselves into a face. Seeing that we thought hey, why not ask the loyal readers of Bacon Today to show us their bacon faces!
Now, you don’t need to be at breakfast to make yourself a good bacon face. Heck, you don’t even need to cook the bacon. There are likely millions of ways to make your own bacon face and we want to see them!
Here’s how to show us your bacon face:
- Email us your bacon face photo to bacontoday[at]gmail[dot]com
- Leave a link to your bacon face photo in the comments section of this post
We can’t wait to see all your bacon faces! We’ll undoubtedly feature many of your photos on Bacon Today.

While searching the photo sharing site Flickr today, I stumbled across a group of bacon lovers taking some spectacular photographs of tastey, tastey bacon. The group is called “Everything’s Better with Bacon“. Head on over to Flickr and check it out!
