Every so often we get an email devoid of detail but containing something so fantastic we just have to share. Today was one of those days.

Kristen & Jenny are at it again with their song parodies. This time, however, things are different. Not only is this parody lyrically great, but it’s also well produced and just plain awesome. We don’t have any other details than that it’s a parody of a popular Eminem song.

So with that in mind, follow these simple instructions…

Danelectro makes a cool looking little amp/guitar pedal that Instrument Alley sells for only $19.95. In fact, Instrument Alley also says they’ll beat any price so how could you NOT buy one?

We don’t have any experience with this little device, so if anyone out there has one make a short video and send it in. We’d like to know what kind of guitar-shredding quality you can get for 20 bucks.

This funky little compilation album came out in 2006 with oh so bacony title of “The Bacon Bits – Mofongo”. The label refers to the record as “a sunny blend of American funk and Caribbean sounds that will turn anyone’s idea of International music upside down.”

The musicians hit you with a wide variety of musical styles. From a little reggae style on the track “Majesty” to a low down & funky rendition of “The Rent Hustle”, this album offers a good mix of music with a title any bacon lover is sure to enjoy.

Even when they’re rocking hard on the road, the boys of Metallica still appreciate the value of a home cooked meal. More specifically, the guys dig bacon.

How do we know this? Well, we got a tip (thanks Dan) that we should check out Metallica’s catering rider over at The Smoking Gun web site. Turns out that even though they have at least “six strict vegetarians on the crew”, the band makes sure that no less than three times during the 3-page catering section of the document the following phrase appears in all capital letters:

“BACON VERY IMPORTANT THAT BACON BE AVAILABLE AT EVERY MEAL AND DURING DAY”

That’s right, the hardest of hard rockers get their metal madness from our favorite meat – bacon. Don’t believe us? Read the catering rider for yourself. Now, if they’d only write a song about bacon like Aerosmith almost did…

What do you get when you cross an Irish drinking song, heavy rockin’ guitars, a bit of political discourse, and the candy of meats? Why, the single greatest bacon song in the history of mankind of course!

The song is Donuts and Bacon, which the artist describes as “a bouncy Pro-Obama agitprop song about voting liberally, drinking liberally, and celebratory hangover food.” We have another word for it — brilliant.

No matter what your political views, if you’re a bacon lover you’ll be smitten with Brooklyn, NY’s “The James Rocket” (AKA James William Roy). James sent us the MP3 with the simple yet poignant instructions:
