I Don’t Mean To Be Negative, But…

I knew a guy in high school who started a lot of his sentences with the title of this article.

I don’t mean to be negative, but that sucked.

I don’t mean to be negative, but this is a stupid assignment.

I don’t mean to be negative, but… you get the idea.

It was his way of justifying his negative feedback as positive feedback. I’m sure there’s a psychological term for it, but I never learned it.

Nevertheless, we try to never go negative here at BT. We love bacon, support bacon and share with you all things bacon. But therein lies the rub; in order to share all things bacon, we occasionally need to share something negative. You see, not everyone in the world loves bacon.

Sadly it’s true. There are people in the world who just hate bacon. Or who just hate in general and need to leave their hateful mark on everything in their path. As the premiere source for bacon-related news we feel it is our responsibility to share such bile with you when we find it so that you can take a stand and fight back.

Go to amog.com and check out their article on 11 of the worst bacon products ever produced. They basically have taken a bunch of items that we have written reviews on and spun them entirely negative. As a point of clarification, we have not always given glowing reviews to bacon products, but at least when we don’t like something we write about it with constructive criticism. We never tear apart a bacon product for the sole purpose of being nasty. That’s not our bag, baby.

So go read this article and fill the comments thread with all your greatest love for bacon. Tell those people how great bacon is, and explain why they should give bacon a second chance. Drown out the haters with a flood of bacon positivity.

After all bacon has given to our community, it’s the best way you can help in bacon’s time of need.

Thanks to BT reader Carl K. for bringing this to our attention.

I can’t say the list is ENTIRELY wrong, but it is mostly wrong. I’d liek to own at least 6 of those products and have tried 2.
