If you pour it, they will come.
The bartenders at the Double Down Saloon in Las Vegas must have been chanting that mantra when they devised the bacon martini.
Yes, it’s true! Bacon martini! Drunk is the new delicious.
For those of you on the east coast, fear not. It looks like there is another Double Down at 14th and Houston in NYC.

The Frontera Grill in Chicago has a bacon infused margarita. My friend drank it, I was too chicken to try it!

The bacon martini gets people in the door, but you’ll keep coming back to the Double Down for the Bacon Bloody Mary, which is in a class of its own.
The Town Talk Diner in Minneapolis has a bacon manhattan. It’s good, although the bacon flavor is much more subtle than the infused vodka at the Double Down.

We tried to make one last year at bacon day. After that fiasco we decided to stick with the bacon bloody marys, but this has given me new hope. Any ideas on how they created this?

As it turns out, Mr. B is going to be in Las Vegas next week and has told me that he plans to work both a bacon martini and a bacon bloody mary into his busy schedule.

In my world, it’s all about Bacon Bloody Maries –but, I would still be happy to sample the Baco-tini!

The Double Down in NYC is actually at 14 Avenue A (at Houston). Despite the location discrepancy, the bacontini is still delicious.

I’m thinking, a shot of bacon vodka and a shot of black pepper vodka in a Bloody Mary would the off the hook… but that’s just me.
