I'm not ready for something that permanent, so I went looking for bacon t-shirts instead (I know, what a wimp!). I found this t-shirt for the underrepresented anti-drug/pro-bacon party, the pig kind of freaks me out but I appreciate the message:

Nobody needs to be upset by this. For centuries, Christians have used the inverted cross as a symbol of humility and of their (our) unworthiness of the cross as well Christ's sacrifice/death upon the cross. Even the chair that the pope sits on in the vatican has carvings of inverted crosses upon it. There have been Christians in history that have been put to death by crucifixion, and have requested to be crucified upside down, again, as a symbol of humility and their (our) unworthiness of the cross and Christ's sacrifice/death upon the cross.

Idiots like Anton LaVey have attempted to lend notoriety and popularize the image of the inverted cross as a symbol that stands in defiance and opposition to the cross. While these types of people are busy wasting their time trying to force their own meaning on this image, they're really unwittingly aligning themselves with their unworthiness of the cross and Christ himself by using this symbol. QED, anti-Christians! You just got owned by the symbol you thought stood for your false beliefs.

So then, how should this tattoo really be interpreted? This guy has more going on than meets the eye. By making a cross out of bacon, he has aligned the awesome power of bacon with the awesomeness of Jesus Christ, which is appropriate considering the awesomeness of bacon and the fact that the pig (and therefore bacon) was created through Christ. By inverting said bacon cross, this man is showing humility and deference to the power and awesomeness of bacon, as well as his (our) unworthiness of all things bacon. The Lord, in his infinite mercy and grace, stills allows us the immeasurable pleasure provided by the glory of bacony goodness even though we are unworthy of the king of meats (and food, for that matter).
