I just can’t wait, because I’m sure we’re going to get a alot of comments and emails on this one letting us know that bacon sushi has been done before or that it’s already featured at some fancy sushi place like Nobu.
My wife and I like to make sushi from time to time. It’s fun, it’s healthy and it’s SO much cheaper than going out to a restaurant. What’s even better is that when you make sushi at home you can do anything you want – like use Rice Crispies as tempura flakes or add bacon!
Here’s two pieces of salmon sushi with a bacon garnish.
The saltiness of the bacon added a certain special touch to the flavor of the salmon. It was really quite amazing. If you are a sushi fan and have ever thought about trying to make your own sushi at home, I highly recommend this smastey concoction.

I think my favorite version of bacon sushi is with the eel, but the bacon california roll has something special too. We never tried the bacon salmon but that looks like it could leap into the lead. Thanks for the idea.
