I have a day job where I make videos and stuff. We’re always trying to push new boundaries, and one of the things we’re experimenting with is 3D. I started the process of learning how to make anaglyph images from still photos and I needed a picture to work from.
What a perfect opportunity to combine my work with my play.
Check out this 3D image of some bacon sushi I made a while back. I made it using depth map techniques I learned from Sean Gleeson’s Swell 3D blog. If you happen to have a pair of anaglyph (red/blue) glasses handy, put ‘em on and enjoy this in-your-face bacon. If not, you’d better go find a a pair, because I’ll be bringing you a number of these 3D bacon shots in future articles.

It’s a whole new wave of bacon… in 3D.
