Bacon Today’s bacon cupcakes are almost here. The search has been a long time coming, but I’ve finally found the recipe that I’m going to use. Check it out – it’s banana cupcakes with peanut butter buttercream frosting and honey-glazed bacon sprinkles. These so-called “Elvis Cupcakes” are from the Blondie and Brownie site and they sound awesome!

At this point I’m getting really excited about the impending arrival of bacon cupcake day. Truth be told, I’m not a real chef, but I try. I have attempted several times to make bacon brittle without a successful batch. (I’m still trying, though, and that article will be coming as soon as I perfect the recipe.) Cupcakes are a lot easier to manage, though, and really, how hard could frosting be? I’m going to find out for myself when I try to make it next week.
Get hungry. The cupcake wave is a-comin’.

So excited that you are giving my cupcakes a try! Can’t wait to hear how they turn out for you. The recipe is pretty straightforward and the candied bacon is addictive. Feel free to drop me a line if you need any troubleshooting!
Cheers!

I made bacon cupcakes for ThanksBacon…putting the bacon in a food processor (after the fry) makes for a sweet salty savory treat…They were a big hit! I have Bacon brownies (or should I say baconies?!) in the oven right now…I’ll let you know. Happy Holidays!
