Unless you’ve been living under a solid gold rock, you’ve been hit hard by the recent economic turndown just like the rest of us. It’s why we’re driving less, eating more meals at home, going to fewer movies, getting laid off and trading in our Maseratis for Toyotas.
I’ve been hit, too. It’s why I’ve stopped driving my Hummer to Vegas to go to the club with the $100 cover charge so I can buy $23 martinis for girls who want me to let them test drive my Black Amex card. These days I drive my Hummer to McDonald’s and use my Black Amex to buy burgers (with bacon, of course), just like a bunch of folks across the pond in Europe. According to The Independent, “Burgers with bacon, in particular, are enjoying a renewed bout of popularity in Britain and France…“ due to their extremely high yummy:cost ratio.
We can all learn a lesson from Europe. Their economy sucks, just like ours, but they are fighting back with bacon. It makes me proud to be from Earth.
This is hilarious. Although I dont think too many Black AMEX card-holders have been hit by the recession too much…but us visa black holders arent having an easy time of it.
