Following up on yesterday’s Bacon Opal article, today we feature shiny bacon of a man-made variety.
Glass artist Marcy Lamberson has created a wide array of beads for jewelry makers. She uses glass from Murano, Italy, which she melts with a 2000 degree torch to design everything from snails to bacon. The end results are both whimsical and fantastic!
Marcy offers many of her beads for sale on Etsy.com. She also does custom orders, so if you’ve got an idea for a special charm necklace for your sweetheart be sure to contact her. As a bacon lover, she has created the perfect bead for Bacon Today readers – the bacon bead. According to Marcy, “some people order pairs for earrings and some like a piece to go with other breakfast glass beads to use as charms.”
Here’s a small sampling of her bead work — specifically the breakfast variety:
- bacon bead
- egg bead
- pancake bead
Marcy Lamberson’s beads are certainly not limited to food products. Be sure to check out her current catalog of offerings on Etsy.com.

This just in — is that snail’s shell made of bacon? Bacon-wrapped escargot…mmmmmmmm.

Marcy cooks up some wonderful glass creations! She has patience, an artistic eye, and the ability to sculpt incredible details into the molten glass. Terrific that you found and featured her!
Whoo hoo! Etsy is a great place to find all things crafty and bacon!
I have purchased several of Marcy’s lampwork beads through etsy. She is AWESOME !!!!
