Usually if someone makes something out of bacon we get pretty excited about sharing the result with you. In this case, though, it’s the beginning of their story that I felt was newsworthy.
Kim W. shot us this link to the Commanche Club. It’s an post written by a guy who had made his first bacon explosion. You can read the post to see how he followed the original recipe and ended up with his own heart-attack-in-a-tube, but I wanted to draw your attention to the very first thing he said and the very first picture he posted:
“It all started last night when my wife came home with a mysterious box. I got up to investigate as she laid it on the counter with a *thump*. It was a cardboard box, and inside it, 10 lbs of bacon.”
So many questions…

How much does a 10lb box of bacon cost?
Why is all the bacon just piled in the box?
Was it FedExed?
I love to see something as ridiculous as a box of bacon. It reminds me that there is still good in this world.

When I have big parties, I go to Sam’s Club and purchase the 10-lb box of bacon. It’s not a party without bacon!
What’s so ridiculous about a 10 lb. box of bacon? It actually sounds like a savvy shopping move. Buying in bulk usually means great savings, and fewer trips to the store for the essential(s).
I’m gonna go ahead and agree with compass. But, I also must agree with Lisa. And I also must add this: If you could have any amount of bacon how much would it be.
